HIGH WEAR AND IMPACT RESISTANT SOLUTIONS FOR INDUSTRIAL METAL COMPONENTS
Thanks to the accreditation as a Technology Developer under the TECNIO seal, CPT has had the opportunity to participate in a research project that has allowed the development of high impact and wear resistant coatings for the protection of industrial metal components. Promoted by the MAV Cluster and with the participation of two SME companies (URD and TMComas), in this project, CPT has collaborated in the search for an optimal coating that offers better behaviour in adverse operating conditions to large industrial steel parts, so that the materials can maintain a long useful life. Once the technical feasibility study to evaluate and analyse the potential of various coatings and deposition technologies has been completed, the selected solution has been deposited on an industrial metal part for validation in a relevant environment.
This project will benefit many industrial players with systems or components that operate under extreme conditions and wish to improve their performance to extend their service life and reduce costs, as well as all those companies specialised in surface engineering and the development of new coatings for the industry.
